STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Bible
We believe in the bible being the Word of God to the lost humanity. It was written by humans under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is a love letter to His Bride, providing instructions on how His people should strive to live their lives in Him (John 1:1).
The Trinity
We believe in the Trinity, one God in three, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the author of our salvation. The Son is the giver of salvation. The Holy Spirit is the guide to salvation (Genesis 1:26, Colossians 2:9).
Man
When God created the earth, He spoke unto the earth. When He created Man, He spoke unto Himself. We are the image and likeness of God, created to live in fellowship with Him and to rule over his creation, however, through Adam and Eve’s disobedience, we were separated. All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23).
Repentance & The Gift of Salvation
Repentance is simply to turn away from the sinful way of living and commit to the path that God has chosen for you. If we repent and confess our sins, God is faithful and just, He will forgive our sins and purify us from all our unrighteousness through the Blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:9). Salvation is the gift of God to the lost humanity. We were deserving of condemnation, but through the Blood of Jesus Christ, we are saved. The Blood of Jesus is our way, our truth and our light to the Father, the price that God was willing to pay to demonstrate His love to his humanity. This is received through His Grace, not merit through the law (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Prayer & Fasting
Prayer is the way we enter God’s presence and communicate with Him. We believe that every disciple of Christ can enter His presence and address him directly. Prayer is the way we obtain and maintain our intimacy with God (Philippians 4:6).
We fast because our enemy does not respect physical strength, but spiritual fullness. When we fast, we gain strength, power, and weight in the spiritual realm. Fasting is not to move God because he has already done it, but to submit ourselves to be aligned to the Will and Power of God (Matthew 6:16-18).
Baptism
We believe in baptism in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, a public act by which we profess our salvation. This is by full immersion, symbolising our death and resurrection through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:21).
Holy Communion
The LORD’s Supper is the symbol of the New Covenant in Jesus’ Blood. We believe that by taking the Lord’s Supper we remember that the full price for our peace has been paid, it is the proof that we are fully redeemed and a reminder that there is no condemnation against us through Christ Jesus (Colossians 2:14), and we acknowledge that Jesus is coming back soon.
Abundant Life
We believe that Jesus came so that we may have life and have it abundantly. This abundant life is spiritual and material. He is our shepherd and our provider. With Him, we will lack nothing (John 10:10, Psalm 23:1).
Supernatural Life
We believe that by the Holy Spirit, we are gifted in special ways for the good of the body of Christ. We believe in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit among God’s people and we fully seek the manifestation of all spiritual gifts given to each person, just as He decides (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).
Eternal Life
We believe that man created in the likeness and image of God was created to live forever. Through Jesus, we receive Eternal Life and we are a colony of heaven on earth as we cling tightly to our life-giver the LORD Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).
